Outside Technical Sales & Service Representative

Job Overview

John Zink Hamworthy Combustion (JZHC) is seeking an Outside Technical Sales and Service Representative to support our preferred partners by providing on-site assistance and expertise related to their current and future fired equipment assets. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of combustion and familiarity with JZHC equipment. Your main goal will be to drive profitable growth by identifying opportunities and supporting end users who value our services and products, including process burners, flares, thermal oxidizers, boiler burners, vapor recovery systems, and other related equipment.

Location

This role is remote, based out of the Houston, TX region.

Responsibilities
  1. Service and support end users throughout the lifecycle of their assets, from engineering studies to decommissioning.
  2. Present value-added solutions leveraging all KES brands across various industries.
  3. Prospect for new preferred partners and opportunities.
  4. Manage end-user turnarounds, including development, quoting, and closeout activities.
  5. Gather and relay Voice of Customer insights to improve offerings.
  6. Convince customers of the benefits of our solutions to meet their goals.
  7. Engage decision makers to understand their needs and pain points.
  8. Generate qualified leads and acquire orders.
  9. Grow the combustion service business year over year.
Qualifications
  • Experience in refinery and/or petrochemical sectors.
  • Proven ability to establish and grow customer relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with fired equipment, including tuning, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of combustion equipment and services.
  • Industrial sales experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.
