Job summary

Sea Island Company is seeking staff to assist members and guests at the golf course. You will use golf knowledge and strong communication to ensure excellent guest experiences, while upholding Sea Island policies and dress code.

Responsibilities include cart staging, club care, assisting with tournaments, and helping guests with local information. Flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Golf knowledge preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be 16 years of age or older to drive a company golf cart.
• Demonstrates Sea Island Five-Star Behavior Standards with guests and staff.
• Positive attitude and ability to work with diverse people.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Stage and prepare golf carts for daily play prior to guests' arrival.
• Store and clean clubs for all guests and members.
• Assist golf professionals in operation of tournaments and outings.
• Transport golf clubs to other locations as needed.
• Learn guest names and recognize regular Guests and Members.
• Maintain knowledge of services, dining, shops, and local attractions to answer questions.
• Fill Guest Problem Resolutions forms and follow-up on issues as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
• Uphold departmental standards of quality and timing.
• Report equipment problems, safety hazards, or unsafe practices to supervisor.
• Attend employee meetings and contribute improvement ideas.
• Willingness to perform other duties as delegated by leadership.

Tasks/Responsibilities

• Stage and prepare golf carts for daily play prior to the guests' arrival
• Store and clean clubs for all guests and members
• Assist golf professionals in the operation of golf tournaments and outings
• Assist in the transportation of golf clubs to other locations
• Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability
• If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
• Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
