Job summary

Virginia Green is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to connect with homeowners, assess lawn care needs, and propose tailored programs that yield healthy, beautiful lawns.

You'll build relationships, generate new business, and experience the impact of your efforts firsthand, with a monthly vehicle stipend, paid training, and clear opportunities for growth within our culture of accountability and respect.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Engage homeowners in assigned neighborhoods to introduce Virginia Green’s lawn care programs.
• Conduct on-site evaluations to assess lawn conditions and homeowner goals.
• Educate customers on tailored solutions for long-term lawn health.
• Set expectations and build trust from the first interaction.
• Prospect new customers through outbound outreach, referrals, and community presence.
• Convert conversations into service agreements using ethical sales practices.
• Generate leads and maintain a strong field presence in the territory.
• Cross-sell and upsell additional services to improve results and satisfaction.
• Track leads and sales activity in the CRM.

Day in the Life:

• Go Beyond for Our Customers
• Engage homeowners in assigned neighborhoods to introduce Virginia Green’s customized lawn care programs

• Grow Beyond in Sales Performance
• Primary duty is outside sales, prospecting new customers
• Convert conversations into new service agreements using proven, ethical sales practices
• Proactively generate leads through door-to-door outreach, referrals, and community presence
• Cross-sell and upsell additional services that enhance results and customer satisfaction
• Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals while maintaining Virginia Green’s high standards

• Own Your Territory
• Maintain a strong, visible presence within assigned territories to maximize opportunity and brand awareness
• Track leads, customer interactions, and sales activity accurately using our CRM system
• Use data, feedback, and coaching to continuously improve performance

Qualifications/Requirements:

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Employment with Virginia Green is contingent upon the successful completion of all applicable pre-employment screenings, which may include a background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screening, based on the requirements of the position and applicable law.
