Job summary

Piedmont Plastics is hiring an Outside Sales Representative for the Phoenix market. This role will promote and sell performance plastics to a variety of business and industrial establishments, primarily in-person within the Phoenix area.

You will develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, and referrals, provide sales support to existing accounts, and cultivate strong customer relationships while maintaining up-to-date product knowledge. Some travel and overnight stays are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics or related field.
• Own a personal vehicle in good condition.
• Willing to travel with some overnight trips.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Today, Piedmont Plastics is currently hiring for an Outside Sales Representative for our Phoenix market. This individual will promote and sell products and services primarily in-person, to a variety of business and industrial establishments within the Phoenix market.

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will:

• Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling and referrals.
• Provide sales support to existing accounts, work and close daily opportunities, continuously expanding the customer base.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Communicate daily with sales team/management on the status of orders and customer concerns.
• Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.
• Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
• Contribute to the team effort.

An ideal candidate will possess:

• At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution or graphics-related sales experience with a track record of exceeding assigned sales goals
• A personal vehicle in good condition
• Basic computer skills
• A willingness and desire to travel almost exclusively and the schedule to allow some overnight travel as well
• A positive attitude and are a team player!
