POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for tasks related to the effective management of the entire sales cycle, including developing sales strategies. The role involves relationship building, cold calling, product presentations, selling, researching, strategy development, and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Inside Sales to ensure account retention through customer support, resource management, and troubleshooting order issues.
- Grow sales profitably to meet yearly targets by focusing on current and emerging industries and markets.
- Prospect for new accounts, retain existing ones, and expand opportunities with current customers.
- Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to align Würth Industry offerings with customer business objectives.
- Build and maintain customer relationships as a trusted advisor to ensure retention, growth, and satisfaction.
- Represent the full range of Würth Industry products.
- Complete regular sales call plans and record results.
- Set sales goals, track progress through reports, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Collaborate internally to ensure customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to develop business opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven outside sales, business development experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong rapport-building and client relationship skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, capable of working independently.
- Ability to travel within the territory.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base pay range: $30,000 - $65,000 + Commission, Company Car & Cell Phone. Pay depends on factors like experience, education, and skills. Incentive bonuses may apply.
