Summary

Join our team as an Outside Sales Representative, playing a key role in our sales operations within the Goldsboro territory. Collaborate with Inside and Regional Sales teams to develop strategic quotes and proposals, ensuring customer satisfaction and profitable sales.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with customer contacts at all levels, especially purchasing decision-makers, fostering trust in Ryerson.
  • Keep customers informed about industry trends and Ryerson’s capabilities to support their adaption to change.
  • Stay updated on the competitive environment and provide market intelligence to shape sales strategies and pricing.
  • Increase revenue by expanding product lines and converting general line sales to fabrication sales.
  • Engage with management, corporate partners, and suppliers to maintain relationships across customer organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with responsibilities subject to change.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, focusing on fabricated steel parts and assemblies.
  • Experience working with inside sales teams is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and SolidWorks is advantageous.
  • Strong creative and complex thinking skills to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to travel and work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Remote position; residence in North Carolina or South Carolina preferred.
