RPM is seeking a results-driven and relationship-oriented Outside Sales Representative to expand our footprint in the commercial, industrial, government, and union markets. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to assess project needs and pitch RPM's services.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.
  • Generate and manage leads using internal CRM and external platforms (e.g., BidClerk, Sam.gov).
  • Collaborate with the estimating and operations teams to prepare customized proposals.
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to promote RPM.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market pricing.
  • Provide regular updates and sales reports to leadership on pipeline status and goals.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns as needed.
  • Meet or exceed established sales targets and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in landscape, construction, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms and sales tracking tools.
  • Ability to read basic construction documents and understand project scopes.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable conducting field visits and client presentations.
