Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join a respected, family-run leader in foodservice. Build relationships with independent restaurants and chains, understand operations, and grow your territory.

This role offers base plus commission, monthly car and cell phone allowances, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) matching, and a Monday–Friday schedule. You will travel to client sites and work to expand accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in outside sales, foodservice distribution, restaurant management, restaurant ownership, or related foodservice role.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, foodservice products, and customer purchasing needs.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships, develop new business, and grow existing accounts.
• Self-motivated, organized, prospecting, customer visits, and managing a territory.

Outside Sales Representative – Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience in outside sales, foodservice distribution, restaurant management, restaurant ownership, or a related foodservice role
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, foodservice products, and customer purchasing needs
• Proven ability to build customer relationships, develop new business, and grow existing accounts
• Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable prospecting, making customer visits, and independently managing a territory
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record

Outside Sales Representative – Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience with broadline foodservice distributors
• Background with a regional or specialty foodservice distributor
• Established relationships with independent restaurants, restaurant owners, chefs, and foodservice operators
• Experience opening new accounts, growing sales, and identifying additional opportunities within existing customer relationships
• Strong foodservice industry knowledge, a competitive sales personality, and a goal‑oriented mindset; a college degree is not required
