Job summary

Sysco is seeking an outside sales professional to promote products and build relationships with new and existing accounts. You will focus on helping customers succeed while meeting sales and profit goals, with some non-traditional hours as needed.

The role emphasizes developing new business, penetrating accounts, and communicating market insights to drive profitable growth in the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years relevant experience or Sysco internship as stated in ad.
• Experience in Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales preferred.
• Completion of Sysco Sales Internship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts and grow profitable sales.
• Qualify prospects and follow company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and tailor a mix of products/services.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers.
• Stay informed on market conditions, competitors and prices.
• Answer questions on products, prices and availability.
• Provide product information and training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts and events.
• Manage accounts receivable with credit terms.
• Coordinate deliveries per routing schedule and resolve issues.
• Participate in functions, visits and district meetings.
• Engage in training and assist with onboarding new employees.
• Review daily/weekly reports and prepare sales quotes.
