Job summary

The Outside Sales Representative at Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC is the face of the company, driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service across the assigned territory.

You will gather customer needs, prepare tailored proposals, and coordinate with design, production, shipping, and sales teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate invoicing. Regular travel within the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior selling experience is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and highly motivated.
• Ability to use a smartphone and general computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of home building helpful.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Perform building material take-offs and provide quotes to prospective customers.
• Compile lists of prospective customers and follow up on permits in the sales territory.
• Travel regularly within territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Coordinate with the shipping manager and customers on delivery timing.
• Work with Sales Coordinator to keep account activities up to date and inform on invoice details.
• Investigate and resolve customer delivery problems.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
