ENCON Heating & A/C is seeking a Business Development Manager to run a field-based sales territory from Stamford, CT. You will build a book of business, meet decision-makers, and design maintenance programs that fit client goals, with about one day in the office per week and the rest in the field.

No HVAC experience required; we provide training. The role rewards driven professionals with uncapped commissions and a growing book of business paid year after year.

Run your own territory. Build a book of business that pays you every year. If you're a sales professional who wants to own your market instead of working an inside desk, this is your role. You'll spend about one day a week in the office and the rest in the field, in a territory within roughly an hour or two of home. You'll be meeting decision-makers, winning new accounts and building a book of business that keeps paying you for as long as you keep it.

Encon Heating & AC has been a trusted commercial HVAC name in Connecticut and New York since 1969, and we're growing our business development team. You don't need HVAC experience; we'll teach you the technical side. You bring the drive and the people skills.

Based out of our Stamford, CT office, serving Lower Fairfield County.

What You’ll Do

• Build and own a target list of 500-800 commercial properties in your assigned industry, working with your sales manager
• Open doors through phone, email, LinkedIn, in-person visits and industry associations, and earn meetings with owners, facility directors, property managers and CFOs
• Learn each building's challenges, walk the facility, and design a maintenance program that fits the customer's goals
• Close the agreement, hand it to our operations team, and go win the next one

This is a new-business role. You'll hear 'we already have someone' more often than 'yes,' and the people who succeed here are the ones who stay curious, keep going and turn those conversations into long-term relationships.

Compensation

• Base salary of $60,000-$80,000
• Uncapped commission on every new agreement you sell
• An annual payout on your book of business: every customer you keep keeps paying you, year after year
• Top producers earn $150,000+, and the book keeps growing the longer you're here
• $600/month vehicle allowance, company gas card and company phone

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or work experience
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout your territory
