Job summary

Crutchfield is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to grow residential and commercial A/V within Charlottesville and Harrisonburg. You’ll develop relationships, identify opportunities, design solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from first contact to installation and aftercare.

You will work with a team of installation, project management and support professionals, with independence to grow your market while leveraging Crutchfield’s brand.

Qualifications

• Strong sales, business development, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prospect for new business and develop your own customer base.
• Ability to understand customer needs, recommend solutions, and ask for the business.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales process.
• Learn quoting, proposal, and customer-management tools.
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, cold outreach, and in-person visits.
• Build relationships with homeowners, builders, contractors, architects, businesses, schools, houses of worship, and other organizations.
• Identify customer needs and design A/V solutions that meet goals and budget.
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities and meet revenue goals.
• Prepare proposals, demonstrate solutions, present recommendations, and close business.
• Grow relationships with existing customers for repeat business and referrals.
• Guide clients through the sales and installation process with follow-up support.
• Collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and support staff for a smooth customer experience.
