Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers in Atlanta, GA is seeking a results-driven Parts Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will visit assigned customers, prospect for new business, and coordinate parts orders to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.

You will update customer records, assist with pricing, and work closely with service sales to grow our aftermarket business. A valid driver's license is required, and the foundation is built on integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to customer

Responsibilities

• Visits assigned customers.
• Prospects for new customers.
• Communicates parts orders to counter people and advises stock vs. emergency.
• Checks delivery dates for non-stock items before ordering.
• Reviews special orders with the parts manager and obtains approval.
• Updates customer records and adds new customers to mailing lists.
• Turns in call reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Coordinates service sales with service salespeople.

Responsibilities

• Visits assigned customers.
• Prospects for new customers.
• Communicates parts orders to counter people. Advises whether status is stock or emergency.
• Checks with customers to ensure that delivery date of non-stock items is acceptable before ordering.
• Reviews any special orders with the parts manager and obtains his/her approval.
• Obtains parts manager's approval for any special pricing.
• Advises counterperson on delivery instructions.
• Follows up on parts orders to ensure that customers have been served properly.
• Coordinates service sales with service salespeople.
• Turns in completed call reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Updates customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses, etc.
• Adds new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
• Attends training seminars when possible.Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
• Maintains professional appearance.
