Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers LLC seeks a customer-focused parts specialist in Georgetown, TX. You will visit assigned customers, process and track parts orders, and coordinate with counter staff to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include prospecting for new business, managing pricing approvals, and maintaining up-to-date customer records while representing the dealership professionally.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers to discuss needs and opportunities.
• Prospect for new customers and expand the customer base.
• Communicate parts orders to counter staff and advise on stock vs. emergency status.
• Confirm delivery dates for non-stock items with customers before ordering.
• Obtain approvals for special pricing and pricing exceptions from the parts manager.
• Provide delivery instructions to counter staff and follow up on orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate service sales with service teams to drive added value for customers.
• Maintain and update customer records with changes to names, addresses, etc., and add new customers to mailing lists.
• Attend training seminars and act as a public relations liaison for the dealership.

• Reviews any special orders with the parts manager and obtains his/her approval.

• Advises counterperson on delivery instructions.
• Follows up on parts orders to ensure that customers have been served properly.
• Coordinates service sales with service salespeople.
• Turns in completed call reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Updates customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses, etc.
• Adds new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
• Attends training seminars when possible.
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
• Maintains professional appearance.
