Midwest Hose & Specialty is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to prospect and develop customers across oil & gas, mining, aggregates, construction, and related sectors. You will expand existing accounts, promote our hose and fluid transfer products, and work with inside sales and warehouse to fulfill orders promptly.

The role emphasizes strong customer relationships, service excellence, and meeting sales and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

• Promote Midwest Hose product line and provide on-site support to customers.
• Collaborate with inside sales and warehouse to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Track sales data and report performance to leadership.

Summary of Position:The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting, developing, and capturing new customers while managing and expanding existing accounts. Sales are diverse, with opportunities across commercial, industrial, oil & gas, mining, and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will develop strong customer relationships, deliver excellent service, and meet sales and profitability goals while promoting the full Midwest Hose product line.This role will work closely with inside sales and warehouse staff to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion.Pay:Competitive base salary + commissions + company vehicle or vehicle allowance + cell phone allowanceResponsibilities:Sell, service, and promote Midwest Hose product line to external customers in oil & gas, mining, aggregates, construction, and other heavy industrial marketsHelp brand the Midwest Hose full line of hose, fittings, and fluid transfer solutionsDevelop business strategies to raise customer pool, expand store traffic, and optimize profitabilityIdentify, pursue, and close opportunities through pre-established and self-sourced leadsMaintain strong business relationships and provide on-the-ground support to customersMeet with customers to discuss evolving needs, including those in mining operations and related industriesTrack and report on sales data to leadership teamsQualifications and Requirements:Familiarity with standard sales and account management practicesStrong ability to assess customer needs and propose tailored solutionsCritical thinking and reasoning to support customer satisfactionPrior hydraulics, hose and fittings sales experience (required)Outside sales experience in oil & gas, mining, construction, or other heavy industrial markets considered highly relevantExcellent communication and customer service skillsProficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office programsEnergetic, positive, and self-motivated with strong time management skillsCommitment to working additional hours as needed to complete ordersEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED (required)1-3 years of hose and fittings experience (highly preferred)Prior industry or commercial sales experience (required)Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)Required Experience:Minimum of 2–3 years of proven sales experience in the hydraulics, hose, fittings, or fluid transfer industry.About Us:Midwest Hose is one of the largest hose and fitting wholesale distributors in North America.
