Job summary

Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative for Salt Lake City to build relationships with manufacturers, contractors and industrial customers within a defined territory.

This role emphasizes face-to-face customer engagement and new business development. You will work with Inside Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Branch Leadership to support customers, while traveling across the territory to visit customers and prospects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Outside Sales, Territory Sales, Account Management or related sales experience preferred.
• Industrial, manufacturing, construction, MRO, fastener, safety, electrical or related product experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow customer relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout your territory.
• Make regular customer visits, jobsite visits and prospecting calls.
• Grow sales and gross margin within assigned accounts.
• Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs.
• Prepare quotes, bids and proposals and follow opportunities through the sales cycle.
• Promote Copper State's extensive product offering and value-added solutions.

• Monitor customer needs, market trends and competitive activity.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity information in company systems.

Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to develop and grow business throughout the assigned area.

This is a territory-based outside sales position for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, developing relationships, finding new business opportunities, and helping industrial customers solve problems.

You will not be sitting behind a desk all day. You'll spend your time building relationships with manufacturers, contractors, fabricators, maintenance teams, OEMs and other industrial customers throughout your territory.
