Job summary

Crumpton Welding Supplies is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to be the face of the company, answering questions about our products and services while expanding knowledge and maintaining customer satisfaction.

You will make regular in-person sales calls, manage an assigned territory, negotiate terms, and coordinate deliveries with internal teams to meet targets and contribute to growth in welding and industrial markets.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Experience in sales or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to learn and navigate computer systems and supplier websites.

Job description

Crumpton Welding Supplies is looking for a Outside Sales Representative to join our team! As a Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of the company dealing with all customer questions about our product and services. It will be your job to keep customers happy and constantly expand your knowledge of new company products, services. You will also be challenged with handling customer complaints and retaining customers through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Be able to greet customers, answer questions, engage customers with merchandise, and provide exceptional customer service
• Make regular in-person sales calls and visits to existing and prospective customers
• Develop and maintain a regular route/call schedule
• Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product recommendations
• Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals
• Strong product knowledge gained through training and research
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate deliveries with internal teams
• Answer phone calls from customers
• Build customer relationships
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in medical, welding, fabrication, and industrial markets
• Promote our full product line — including welding gases, hard goods, safety supplies, and equipment
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and profitability goals
• Manage and grow an assigned territory/customer base
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments
• Attend customer events and training sessions as needed

• Knowledge about welding and gas industry is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is $60,000-$70,000 based on experience, plus commission & benefits.
