EMJ is a leading supplier of steel and aluminum products, seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow the non-fabricated steel business with industrial clients. You will visit sites, analyze markets, and collaborate with internal teams to meet sales targets.

The role emphasizes relationship building, product knowledge, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline. Regular travel up to 50% and close coordination with the General Manager and Outside Sales department are expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in steel or industrial sector.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Summary

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling non-fabricated steel to industrial establishments, developing and maintaining customer relationships, and meeting sales targets. This role includes regular in-person visits, market analysis, and collaboration with internal departments.

Sales Incentive Program

As part of our commitment to rewarding performance, eligible Outside Sales Representatives participate in a quarterly Sales Incentive Program. This program is designed to align sales efforts with company goals of market growth and gross profit improvement. Incentives are based on territory maintenance, gross profit growth, and performance over historical averages.
