Compensation Overview: The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries across the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

Salary Range: $101,300.00 - $167,000.00

What Is the Opportunity? There is also a potential for a $5,000 sign-on bonus! This position is based 100% remotely and may include a combination of mobile work and/or work from your primary residence. The role will cover specific areas in Maryland, so residency in or around these territories is required.

Role Responsibilities: Under general direction and as a member of the local line of business management team, responsible for product quality and performance of a team of Outside Property claim professionals. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to staff. Serve as a field representative for the Home Office Property product as needed. Reinforce LOB vision, strategies, and objectives through actions and communication.

What Will You Do?

  1. Attract, Retain, and Develop Talent:
  • Proactively recruit talent; collaborate on strategic staffing.
  • Ensure effective onboarding.
  • Manage staff performance; identify training needs; provide feedback.
  • Develop training, performance, and succession plans.
  • Plan for retention and respond to turnover.
  • Use reward systems to recognize top performers.
  • Provide Claim Services:
    • Employ proper claim handling techniques to protect brand integrity and ensure consistent service quality.
    • Develop and execute strategic file management for optimal resolution.
    • Guide staff through claims processes, conduct quality reviews, and provide coaching.
    • Implement initiatives to improve file quality, customer service, and manage costs.
  • Leverage Data:
    • Utilize data and technology to support business strategies and improve results.
  • Achieve Solutions:
    • Focus on resolution, process improvement, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Operate within budget to maximize productivity and resource allocation.
  • Partner for Success:
    • Develop relationships with colleagues, partners, customers, and agencies.
    • Participate in meetings and agency visits.
  • Physical and Licensing Requirements:
    • May require physical inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on roofs, and entering tight spaces.
    • Possibly require obtaining and maintaining insurance licenses within three months of employment, with ongoing education.

    What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Claim management experience preferred.
    • Leadership qualities: drive results, lead change, execute strategy, attract talent, maximize performance, hold others accountable, and foster a dynamic workplace.

    Must Have:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • At least three years of claim work experience in one line of business.
    • Valid Driver's License.
