Job summary

Sunrise Farms in Harris, IA is seeking an Outside Maintenance / Groundskeeper to perform facility, grounds, and equipment upkeep, assist with bird movement, and maintain barns and pens under the Farm Manager. This role requires initiative, reliability, and a willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

The position reports to the Farm Manager and collaborates with management and production teams to ensure SQF compliance and safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience operating skid loaders and payloaders.
• CDL is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform an extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment under general supervision.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Movement of live birds and spent hens.
• Haul manure.
• Manure removal from barns.
• Ensure safe use of equipment.
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Starting pay based on experience and qualifications, plus:

This position will directly report to the Farm Manager and work with all Management and Production Team. Primarily responsible for performing minor building, grounds maintenance, bird movement, [RS2]liter removal and vehicle maintenance as necessary. Responsible for compliance with all company policies, SQF regulations and local, state, and federal policies, laws and regulations.
