Job summary

Sunrise Farms in Harris, IA is seeking an Outside Maintenance / Groundskeeper. The role reports to the Farm Manager and focuses on building and grounds maintenance, bird movement, litter removal, and vehicle upkeep.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience operating skid loaders and payloaders is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Move live birds and spent hens; haul and manage manure.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and carry out other maintenance tasks as requested.

This position will directly report to the Farm Manager and work with all Management and Production Team. Primarily responsible for performing minor building, grounds maintenance, bird movement, [RS2] liter removal and vehicle maintenance as necessary. Responsible for compliance with all company policies, SQF regulations and local, state, and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Essential Job Duties

• Perform an extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment under general supervision.


• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings.


• Movement of live birds and spent hens.


• Haul manure.


• Manure removal from barns.


• Ensure safe use of equipment.


• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Qualifications

Experience With Skid Loaders And Payloaders Is a Must
