Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking an Outside Machinist in Mandan, ND to repair and maintain rotating equipment, pumps, turbines, valves, and gearboxes. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and compliance with refinery rules and procedures.

You will use micrometers, calipers, laser alignment, and precision tools while documenting repairs and supporting preventive maintenance tasks across the plant.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Journeyman millwright preferred.
• Apprentice or Journeyman millwright / associate’s degree preferred.
• NCCER Certification preferred; refinery experience beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Repair, rebuild, or upgrade mechanical equipment per MPC specs.
• Maintain equipment via preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and control problems to minimize downtime.
• Read manuals, procedures, and select proper tools.
• Document repairs, modifications, and training timely.
