Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of shipyard experience for entry level and up to 5+ years for higher journeyman levels.
• Ability to read tech manuals, blueprints and specification items.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Must be able to obtain DBIDS and NAVSEA badges.

Responsibilities

• Perform machining, overhaul, installation and testing of listed equipment.
• Work on winches, windlasses, steering gear, air compressors and pumps.
• Repair diesel engines, hydraulics, gears, generators and related components.
• Operate grinders, drills, torches and measurement tools safely.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure worksite remains safe and clean.
