We are hiring an Outside Machinist with Line Bore experience for field-based industrial work. This position requires hands‑on machining skills in the field — not just shop work.

You’ll be repairing worn bores, alignments, and heavy equipment components on‑site in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform line boring operations on heavy equipment and industrial machinery
• Set up and align portable machining equipment
• Repair bearing housings and worn components
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Perform precision measurements and adjustments
• Work in field environments (plant sites, industrial facilities, etc.)
• Maintain strict safety compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years machining experience
• Proven line boring experience (required)
• Ability to set up and operate portable line boring equipment
• Experience with heavy industrial equipment
• Ability to travel if required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills

Preferred

• Experience as an Outside Machinist in shipyard, refinery, or heavy industry
• Millwright background
• TWIC card (if applicable to region)
• OSHA 10 or 30

This role is for someone who can show up to a plant, set up, and get it done without hand‑holding.
