Job summary

Sysco is seeking an outside sales professional in Raleigh, NC to promote products and services and build relationships with new and existing accounts. The role may require evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer needs.

You will develop new business, service accounts, and work to achieve sales goals within the assigned territory while traveling as required. Competitive benefits and professional development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sales or related (business, marketing, hospitality, or culinary) experience.
• 1 year of outside foodservice sales experience preferred
• Restaurant management / chef experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook; knowledge of Salesforce a plus
• Working knowledge of warehouse distribution
• Good communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Bi-Lingual preferred
• Restaurant Management, Foodservice
• Outside Sales, Chef Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth.
• Seek and qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
• Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to meet business needs.
• Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors; share insights with customers.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts and events.
• Manage deliveries to the routing schedule; troubleshoot order problems.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
