Job summary

Corby Energy Services, Inc. in Detroit, MI is seeking an Outside Construction Hi-Lo Operator to support warehouse and yard operations. The role is full-time with overtime and weekend work, predominantly outdoors in varied weather though seated in a climate-controlled cab when possible.

You will unload and move materials, operate forklifts and heavy equipment, perform basic math, and ensure areas are tidy. Valid license and ability to pass checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to pass a drug-screening and MVR check.

Responsibilities

Position Title: Outside Construction Hi-Lo Operator

Reports To: Warehouse/Yard Manager

Department: Warehouse/Yard
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Location: Detroit, MI

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Hi-Lo Operator to join our team! The person in this position will be responsible for helping plan and participate in the warehouse and material yard operations and activities of the Company. Work is in a fast-paced environment that requires full-time hours, as well as overtime and the ability to work on the weekend. This person would spend 90% of their time outdoors in all weather elements, inside a climate-controlled cab.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Unloading vendor delivery trucks with large cable reels, boxes, poles, etc. and moving them to their appropriate location in the yard or warehouse
• Loading and unloading of company owned trucks and trailers using industrial forklifts.
• Operate a variety of warehouse/yard equipment and vehicles in a safe manner (forklifts, front loader, excavator)
• Perform simple math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Maintaining company equipment used in daily duties
• Assure stock, warehouse and yard areas are kept tidy and organized
• Daily reporting of material issued for jobs
