Corby Energy Services Inc is seeking an Outside Construction Hi-Lo Operator in Detroit, MI. You will support warehouse and material yard activities, performing heavy lifting, loading/unloading, and equipment operation in all weather.

The role requires 90% outdoor work with a climate-controlled cab, and includes overtime, weekends, and safety compliance. The position reports to Warehouse/Yard Manager and offers a comprehensive benefits package and full-time hours with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed and work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a drug-screening and MVR check.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Meet schedules and deadlines.
• Knowledge of proper lifting and record-keeping techniques.
• Communicate effectively, calmly, and efficiently with others.

Responsibilities

• Unload vendor delivery trucks with large cable reels, boxes, poles, etc., and move them to their location in the yard or warehouse.
• Load and unload company-owned trucks and trailers using industrial forklifts.
• Operate a variety of warehouse/yard equipment and vehicles (forklifts, front loader, excavator).
• Perform simple math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Maintain company equipment used in daily duties.
• Keep stock, warehouse and yard areas tidy and organized.
• Daily reporting of material issued for jobs.

Position Title: Outside Construction Hi-Lo Operator

Reports To: Warehouse/Yard Manager

Department: Warehouse/Yard

Location: Detroit, MI

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Hi-Lo Operator to join our team! The person in this position will be responsible for helping plan and participate in the warehouse and material yard operations and activities of the Company. Work is in a fast-paced environment that requires full-time hours, as well as overtime and the ability to work on the weekend. This person would spend 90% of their time outdoors in all weather elements, inside a climate-controlled cab.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Unloading vendor delivery trucks with large cable reels, boxes, poles, etc. and moving them to their appropriate location in the yard or warehouse
• Loading and unloading of company owned trucks and trailers using industrial forklifts.
• Operate a variety of warehouse/yard equipment and vehicles in a safe manner (forklifts, front loader, excavator)
• Perform simple math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

• Assure stock, warehouse and yard areas are kept tidy and organized
