Our Outreach Team plays a vital role in building relationships, increasing awareness, and ensuring our programs reach those who need them most. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Outreach Team Member Manager to lead our outreach staff and drive impactful community engagement strategies.
Position Summary
The Outreach Team Member Manager oversees the daily operations and performance of the outreach team. This role ensures team members are equipped, supported, and aligned with organizational goals related to outreach, enrollment, and member engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of Outreach Team Members, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
- Develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives to meet enrollment and engagement goals
- Coordinate team schedules, community event participation, and territory assignments
- Monitor outreach performance metrics, generate reports, and recommend improvements
- Ensure team members understand compliance guidelines and maintain documentation per organizational and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Care Management, Member Services) to align messaging and ensure seamless member experiences
- Serve as a liaison to community partners and stakeholders to build strong relationships and expand PHG's presence
- Resolve escalated issues from the outreach team and support conflict resolution when needed
- Create and manage the departmental budget, tracking expenses and justifying resource allocation
- Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding procedures for new outreach team members
- Conduct regular field observations to ensure quality interactions and provide real-time coaching
- Establish and maintain data management systems for tracking outreach activities and outcomes
- Design and deliver ongoing professional development opportunities for team members
- Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with community organizations to expand reach
- Oversee the development of culturally appropriate outreach materials and presentations
- Implement recognition programs to celebrate team achievements and boost morale
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives that leverage outreach capabilities for organizational priorities
- Lead the team's crisis response activities during public health emergencies or natural disasters
Goals and Milestones
Monthly Goals:
- Achieve 95% of monthly enrollment targets across all outreach territories
- Conduct at least 4 team coaching sessions focused on different outreach skills
- Complete 8 field observations with detailed feedback for team members
- Achieve 90% or higher satisfaction rating from new member surveys
- Submit comprehensive monthly performance reports with actionable insights
- Host one community partnership development meeting to strengthen local relationships
- Ensure 100% compliance with documentation and reporting requirements
- Implement at least one process improvement based on team feedback
Quarterly Milestones:
- Decrease member acquisition costs by 5% through improved outreach efficiency
- Increase retention rates of newly enrolled members by 10% through enhanced follow-up protocols
- Develop and launch one new outreach initiative targeting underserved populations
- Complete comprehensive performance reviews for all team members with individualized development plans
- Achieve 15% growth in referrals from community partners through strengthened relationships
- Coordinate one cross-departmental project that enhances member experience
- Design and deliver a quarterly team training program based on identified skill gaps
- Present quarterly strategy and results to executive leadership with recommendations for the upcoming quarter

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $67,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year

Qualifications
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in outreach, community engagement, or health education
- 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual in Spanish or another threshold language is a plus
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal, CalAIM, or health plan programs is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (some travel required)
