Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Edison Job Corps Center in Edison, NJ, seeking a full-time staff member to lead recruitment and outreach efforts. You will interface with community resources, guide young adults toward career paths, and ensure enrollment compliance with program directives.

Qualifications include a relevant degree or 2 years of related experience, plus a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications or closely related field; or associate degree and 2 years related experience.
• Sales, outreach and admissions experience or similar youth program background is acceptable.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct direct recruitment activities and engage with outreach partners.
• Coordinate receptions for accepted candidates into the program.
• Monitor student progress including length of stay and separation.
• Maintain logs of organizations contacted, referrals, and enrollments.

What you will be doing:

You’ll beresponsible for conducting direct recruitment activities and interfacing with other outreach contractors for student enrollment. In addition, empowers young adults by guiding them towards valuable career paths and educational opportunities in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions

• Conduct direct recruitment activities, including public speaking, develop linkage with referral resources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations and churches; participate in center tours and contact potential enrollees.
• Arrange for reception of candidates upon acceptance into program.
• Follow up on student progress, e.g., length of stay and separation.
• Maintain accountability logs of organizations contacted, individuals contacted, referrals to screening agencies and subsequent enrollments.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications or closely related field; or associate degree and 2 years related experience required.
• Experience may include sales and successful outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth programs.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
