Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is looking for an Outreach Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and collect specimens in various settings including physician's offices and nursing homes. This role involves not only blood collection but also EKG and point‑of‑care testing.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and completion from a recognized phlebotomy training program. Basic life support certification must be achieved within three months of employment. UMass Memorial Health values every caregiver's contribution to exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a High School graduate with completion of a phlebotomy training program or equivalent experience.
• Basic life support certification is required within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collection procedures on patients.
• Process specimens including labeling and packaging.
• Perform EKG, pulse oximetry, and point‑of‑care testing.
