Job summary

Open Door Mission in Omaha is seeking a Full Time Outreach Center Associate to support Timberlake Outreach Center and Council Bluffs site. You will assist stocking shelves, check in guests at the front desk, and build relationships with volunteers to aid retention.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, regular church attendance, and a commitment to sharing the gospel. The team fosters a Christ-centered culture with flexible benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• A visible relationship with Jesus Christ and ability to share the gospel.
• Regular attendance at a local Christian church.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to repeatedly bend and lift items from floor level.

Responsibilities

• Walk through the sorting and bedding areas to determine what is needed for the day, communicate with co-workers about what areas need to be restocked.
• Ensure the sorting area is clean and well organized, take gaylords as they are emptied, replace empty gaylords with full ones.
• Assist with stocking, sorting, and organizing Outreach Center shelves with home goods, clothing, food, toys, and other items as needed.
• Communicate and work with the Receiving Area Staff to bring in product that is needed.
• Provide spiritual help and encouragement to volunteers and guests when the opportunity arises.
