Open Door Mission in Omaha, NE is seeking a Homelessness Prevention Specialist - Sorting Area to support its Timberlake Outreach Center and Council Bluffs operation, focusing on stocking, front-desk check-ins, and volunteer coordination. This full-time role requires a Christ-centered approach, ability to lift 50 pounds, and prior customer service experience, with a Tue-Sat 8:30am–5:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Visible relationship with Jesus Christ and willingness to share the gospel.
• Attendance at a local Christian church.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/sit/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Sort, stock, and organize items in the Sorting Area and pantry.
• Check in consumers at the front desk and assist with operations.
• Support outreach center volunteers and communicate needs to coworkers.
• Provide spiritual encouragement when opportunities arise.
