Job summary

HealthNet is seeking an Outreach Enrollment Specialist in Indianapolis to educate and enroll uninsured individuals across our network. The role involves establishing community partnerships, handling referrals, and promoting HealthNet’s services to diverse populations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and knowledge of Medicaid/ACA enrollment. You will travel between HealthNet centers, with a schedule including some evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, ACA, HIP 2.0 a plus; FCA experience a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures; driver’s license required; reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to all health centers and collaborate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Establish community partnerships and raise awareness of HealthNet and its services.
• Provide outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals.
• Receive and follow up on internal and external referrals in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations for insurance options.
• Represent HealthNet at community events and participate in required trainings.

What you’ll do as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at HealthNet:

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist provides education and enrollment assistance for uninsured and underinsured children and adults.

The Outreach & Enrollment Team is responsible for:

• Establishing community partnerships and increasing awareness of HealthNet and their services.
• Providing outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals.
• Collaborating with other HealthNet departments/programs to facilitate in-reach efforts for existing patients.
• Receive and follow up on referrals (internal and external) in a timely manner.
• Identify, establish, and maintain ongoing relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations in the community to increase awareness of health insurance options and create referral opportunities.
• Participate in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team as well as the HealthNet organization.
• Attend all required trainings.

When you’ll work as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist:

• Full-Time
• Potential schedule includes Monday-Friday 8-5, with rotation of evening and Saturday shifts.
• Health centers are open until 8pm and closed on Sundays.

Other tasks and functions may be assigned as needed to fulfill the mission of the organization.

What you’ll need as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at HealthNet:

• Currently not sponsoring work visa.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge in Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIP 2.0 a plus.
• False Claims Act (FCA) experience a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures.
• Driver’s License required.
• Reliable transportation required, required to travel to all health centers.

Physical Requirement:

• Able to be involved in degrees of prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, and stooping; as well as abilities of repeated bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull light to moderately heavy weight up to 20-30 pounds is a necessary function of this position.
• Able to perform duties during periods of varied and/or prolonged work hours.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.
