Job summary

HealthNet in Indianapolis is seeking an Outreach Enrollment Specialist to educate and assist uninsured and underinsured individuals with enrollment in Medicaid and ACA options. You will build community partnerships, follow referrals, and promote HealthNet services.

The role involves coordinating with HealthNet departments, attending trainings, and traveling to health centers to reach diverse populations, ensuring timely enrollment support and excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, ACA, HIP 2.0 a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures.
• Driver’s License required.
• Reliable transportation required; travel to all health centers.

• Attend all required trainings.

What you’ll do as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at HealthNet:

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist provides education and enrollment assistance for uninsured and underinsured children and adults.

The Outreach & Enrollment Team Is Responsible For

• Establishing community partnerships and increasing awareness of HealthNet and their services.
• Providing outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals.
• Collaborating with other HealthNet departments/programs to facilitate in-reach efforts for existing patients.
• Receive and follow up on referrals (internal and external) in a timely manner.

When You’ll Work As An Outreach Enrollment Specialist

• Full-Time
• Potential schedule includes Monday-Friday 8-5, with rotation of evening and Saturday shifts.
• Health centers are open until 8pm and closed on Sundays.

Other tasks and functions may be assigned as needed to fulfill the mission of the organization.

What you’ll need as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at HealthNet:

• Currently not sponsoring work visa.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge in Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIP 2.0 a plus.
• False Claims Act (FCA) experience a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures.
• Driver’s License required.
• Reliable transportation required, required to travel to all health centers.

Physical Requirement

• Able to be involved in degrees of prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, and stooping; as well as abilities of repeated bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull light to moderately heavy weight up to 20-30 pounds is a necessary function of this position.
• Able to perform duties during periods of varied and/or prolonged work hours.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.
