Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education; at-risk education experience preferred.
• Experience or coursework in at-risk, special education, or poverty-related education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, review and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Instruct and support students individually and in small groups.
• Participate in the CARE team process to develop and monitor a Goal Plan for at-risk students.
• Collaborate and communicate with other teachers to improve student learning.
• Provide staff with curriculum and behavior-plan support.
• Collaborate, plan, model and teach in a team environment.
• Monitor and evaluate student work and behavior; maintain records and update goal plans.
• Provide feedback to students and parents; participate in parent/teacher conferences and open houses.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior for a safe learning environment.
• Participate in school meetings across building, content area and grade levels.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth.
• Serve as liaison for students with staff, administrators, resources and parents.
• Collaborate with families to improve student learning.
