AmeriCorps VISTA is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to support the Community Innovation Hub in Puerto Rico’s Eastern Region. You will help strengthen partnerships, map engagement, and create materials that explain CIH’s model to diverse stakeholders.

The role focuses on building equitable systems, coordinating events, and aligning outreach with digital tools to boost participation and regional economic resilience. This is a full-time VISTA assignment in Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

• College graduate required.
• Experience in community development is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English and Spanish preferred.

Job description

To build the capacity of low-income communities in Puerto Rico’s Eastern Region by strengthening the regional network of institutions, experts, and cross-sector stakeholders collaborating through the Community Innovation Hub (CIH) to address structural barriers to equitable participation in the visitor economy. By supporting the development and formalization of institutional partnerships and collaboration mechanisms, the VISTA member will enhance CIH’s ability to function as a systems-level platform that promotes sustainable local development, economic mobility, and long-term poverty reduction.

Member Duties :

The VISTA Outreach Coordinator will strengthen the Community Innovation Hub’s ability to expand participation and connect with key stakeholders, including SMEs, nonprofits, media, and public institutions. The member will help map and track engagement across sectors and regions, maintain an outreach database, and develop materials that explain CIH’s model and goals in clear, accessible language. They will design and document outreach strategies, coordinate logistics for events, and contribute to building equitable systems for stakeholder recruitment and onboarding. Additionally, the member will help align outreach efforts with digital engagement tools, ensuring that platform content supports stakeholder inclusion and sustained collaboration. Their efforts will enhance CIH’s visibility, increase community participation, and foster broader support for regional economic resilience in Puerto Rico’s Eastern Region.
