Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an Athletic Trainer – Floater to provide coverage for collegiate and outreach events, supporting the Sports Medicine Team with injury prevention, on-field care, and rehabilitation. The role requires independence and collaboration with schools, physicians, and coaches.

Qualifications include a CAATE-accredited bachelor's degree, BOC certification, state licensure eligibility within 30 days of hire, and BLS/CPR training within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited program.
• BOC certification required.
• State licensure in applicable state within 30 days of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR/AED training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services at collegiate/professional events to support community programs.
• Work within Sports Medicine Team to cover events as needed.
• Provide on-site acute medical care and evaluation for athlete injuries.
• Maintain medical records, inventory, and referrals per clinic standards.
• Develop and implement treatment and return-to-play plans with physicians.
