A leading organization seeks an Outreach and Recruitment Specialist to provide community outreach and recruitment services for youth programs. The role involves developing marketing strategies, conducting orientations, and maintaining partnerships with community resources. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and experience working with youth, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
Salary $46,000-50,000 year
Outreach and Recruitment Specialist
Non Exempt
Scope of Position:
Provide community outreach to share information about the program, recruit youth, cultivate partnerships and connect participants with community resources. Provide Young Professionals Alumni Services to participants that have exited the program.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and implement marketing strategies
· Recruit applicants through proven recruitment and outreach strategies such as job fairs and career exploration events, and through social service organizations and schools
· Conduct orientations on program eligibility requirements, services and partners
· Identify potential mentors for the youth population to aid in their success
· Partner with local area training providers and refer clients as appropriate
· Provide referrals to community partners when appropriate
· Collaborate with program partners for on-site and off-site career awareness field trips with employers and educational facilities
· Pre-screen youth for program eligibility and suitability
· Complete assigned documentation with minimal error and in a timely fashion
· Maintain relationships with community agencies, educational institutions and employers to maximize resources in the provision of youth services
· Provide 12 months of follow-up services post-program exit
· Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes

Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or equivalent experience
· Human Services background preferred
· Must have experience working with youth and young adults
· Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
· Good interpersonal skills
· Must be computer literate
· Valid driver’s license required
