Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking an LPN to provide direct wound care in our Wound Center. The role supports assessment, treatment, and patient education under supervision, promoting healing and safe care within regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include wound dressings, documentation in the EHR, and patient education. LPN license in Ohio and BLS certification are required, with WCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current, valid LPN license in Ohio.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in wound care or outpatient setting preferred.
• HIPAA and patient confidentiality knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' skin integrity and wound status under supervision.
• Implement wound care plans including dressings and debridement as ordered.
• Monitor and document patient responses in the EHR.
• Administer wound care medications per orders.
• Educate patients and families on wound care and prevention.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure infection control and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
• Assist with inventory management of wound care supplies.
