Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the outpatient Urology team in Roanoke, Virginia. The APP will evaluate and manage a mix of new and established patients, working with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care. Scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

– 5:00 p.m., no hospital rounding. Requires Virginia licensure, national certification, DEA, and strong communication skills; prior urology experience preferred but not

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Virginia licensure (or eligibility).
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous urology or surgical specialty experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new and established patients in the outpatient Urology clinic.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform physical examinations, and assess patient symptoms.
• Develop treatment recommendations and management plans for a variety of urologic conditions.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing and imaging results.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with urologists and other members of the healthcare team to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support Carilion Clinic's commitment to exceptional patient care.
