Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team in an outpatient setting. You will work alongside gastroenterologists, APPs, and nurses to provide compassionate GI care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Virginia licensure or eligibility.
• Appropriate national certification.
• Gastroenterology or related experience preferred; strong clinical background encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating new and established patients.
• Obtaining histories, performing exams, and developing treatment plans.
• Managing acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing.
• Providing patient education and follow-up care.
• Collaborating with gastroenterology physicians and care team.
• Coordinating care with primary care and other specialties.
