Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urology team in Fort Worth. This outpatient-based role will support patient care across the Clearfork, Moncrief, and JPS locations. The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with the Urology team to provide comprehensive care to patients across these locations.

Previous Urology experience is preferred. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of urology APP experience strongly preferred.
• Graduates of ARC-PA accredited PA programs or NP programs with Texas licensure.
• NCCPA certification or Texas APRN prescriptive authority required/ eligible.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents comprehensive physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
• Develops and evaluates patient care plans incorporating laboratory, radiology, and other studies.
• Demonstrates proficiency in necessary procedures and clinical skills.
• Provides counseling and education to patients and families on care and preventive health measures.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research protocols.
• Collaborates in research projects and applies evidence-based practices to patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
