Job summary

The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) in Santa Barbara is seeking a Contingency Management Coordinator for the Project Recovery Program. This part-time, in-person role involves data entry, client counseling, and coordination of testing and documentation in county EHR.

Located downtown Santa Barbara, the position offers 10 hours per week with Tue/Wed shifts; salary range $22–$25 per hour, dependent on qualifications.

Qualifications

  • College degree or certificate in helping profession preferred, equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Must have Certification or be registered to complete Certification for AOD counselor.
  • Minimum one year of experience in alcohol/drug counseling.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish helpful; strong report writing ability.
  • Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Enter data into internal electronic health records.
  • Attend monthly CMT check-in meetings with QCM and UCLA.
  • Record clients testing into DHCS Portal.
  • Counsel client on testing outcomes and next steps.
  • Attend trainings on CMT and County EHR documentation.
  • Document services provided and track client progress in ERH.
  • Greet clients at the testing reception and enforce clinic rules.

The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is seeking a Contingency Management Coordinator to join our team in downtown Santa Barbara for our Project Recovery Program.

This role offers a unique and fulfilling experience assisting people in the community struggling with substance abuse and gaining insight into the administration of court-referred substance use programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
  • College degree or certificate in helping profession (Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) preferred, equivalent experience acceptable.
LICENSES:
  • Must have Certification or be registered to complete Certification for AOD counselor.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum one year's experience in the field of alcohol/drug counseling required.
OTHER:
  • Specific knowledge of individual counseling principles and techniques, and of substance abuse assessment and case planning.
  • Knowledge of resources for treatment, recovery, and Rehabilitation in South Santa Barbara County.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs Word & Excel.
  • Ability to write professional reports, to communicate verbally with professionals and with clients from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with clients from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to recognize own professional limitations so that proper referrals can be made.
  • High standard of integrity and professional ethics. Understanding of client confidentiality.
  • English/Spanish bi-lingual and bi-cultural helpful.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Entering data into internal electronic health records.
  • Attend monthly CMT check in meetings with QCM and UCLA
  • Record clients testing into DHCS Portal.
  • Counsel client on testing success/unsuccess
  • Attend all required trainings pertaining to CMT and Documentation in County EHR
  • Document individual service provided client into ERH noting client progress, testing strengths and barriers.
  • Be present in the testing reception office during assigned clinic hours to: Greet clients. Ensure that all clients are aware of and abide by the basic clinic rules, including and particularly those rules concerning clinic safety.
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned by the Program Manager

This is a part-time, in person position for 10 hours per week with a schedule of Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12:00pm-2:00pm and 4:00pm-7:00pm.

Salary range: $22-$25, dependent on qualifications and experience.
