Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking qualified mental health professionals to lead group therapy programs and coordinate patient care in a clinical setting. The role involves developing therapeutic programming, supervising patients during activities, and collaborating with physicians and staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in counseling or a related field, are licensed in Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, or LMFT), and have at least 1 year of related experience. A Master’s in Social Work is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the state of Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT)
• Master's degree in counseling or related field from an accredited institute
• At least 1 year related experience
• Preferred: Master’s in Social Work

Responsibilities

• Facilitates group therapy and develops programming and therapeutic treatment for identified patients.
• Supervises patients during program hours. Monitors hallways, patients going to restroom, etc.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients, physicians, allied health professionals and all referral sources.
• Co-facilitates group therapy, treatment issues and expressive therapy with therapists.
• Works cooperatively with Program Manager in program development and assists in meal preparation and service with patients.
• Supervises patients as they enter and leave facility and get on and off transportation vans.
