Job summary

High Plains Mental Health Center is seeking an Outpatient Therapist in Phillipsburg, KS. This full-time, in-person role offers a starting salary of $64,218 with incentive pay and a $7,500–9,000 sign-on bonus, plus a $200 Saturday clinic bonus.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy)
• Current Kansas BSRB licensure as one of the following: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Master Level Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist; Licensed Master Social Worker (clinical) or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker; Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with Mental Health Training track; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist
• Ability to pass all required background checks and pre-employment drug screening
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements (if using Center vehicle)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy for individuals, families, and groups
• Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify client needs and establish a foundation for effective treatment
• Design and implement personalized, goal-driven treatment plans that empower clients
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and community partners to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation meeting agency standards
• Engage in ongoing professional development through regular clinical supervision and team meetings
