Job summary

CABELL-HUNTINGTON COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS is seeking a licensed Outpatient Therapist to lead the assessment, planning and implementation of treatment for clients in outpatient programming for substance use disorder and mental health disorders. The therapist provides both direct services and mobilizes the resources of the total treatment milieu.

This includes, but is not limited to, individual, collateral, and group therapy. The majority of direct services will be individual sessions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human services or related field.
• WV clinical licensure (CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, LPA, LPP, LMFT, CADC, or LCADC) required.
• Background check and drug test required on entry.
• 2+ years of clinical experience with substance use disorder and/or serious mental illness preferred.
• Knowledge of homelessness issues and barriers to housing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of treatment services for clients.
• Conduct diagnostic bio-psychosocial assessments and set treatment goals.
• Direct planning and writing of service/care plans for short-term interventions.
• Use evidence-based methods to facilitate group and individual treatments.
• Maintain detailed, confidential patient records and treatment plans.
• Perform regular wellness checks and provide individual/group or collateral services.
• Attend clinical meetings and collaborate with community partners for case management.
• Ensure adequate billable time and adherence to licensing standards.
