Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information is required.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification is required.
• Two years' experience coding with ICD10-CM and CPT-4 (Outpatient) coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately codes and abstracts outpatient medical records per work assignment, meeting productivity standards.
• Assigns ICD10-CM diagnosis and CPT-4 procedure codes per established guidelines.
• Maintains organized system for coding reference materials and updates skills through educational activities.
