Job summary

LifeWorks NW is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor for our King site in Portland, OR. This part-time role (30 hours/week) focuses on assessment, treatment planning, and counseling in outpatient settings to support recovery and stability for clients.

You will provide individual, family, and group sessions, complete timely documentation, and collaborate with a broad care team while using evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• CADC1 certification or equivalent required.
• Experience with substance abuse counseling.
• Ability to document accurately and timely.
• Knowledge of outpatient SUD services.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients via intake interview and formulate treatment recommendations.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling.
• Coordinate care with physicians, care providers and referents.
• Maintain timely, accurate chart notes and treatment records in the EHR.
