Community Medical Services is recruiting a Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients recovering from opioid and other substance use disorders. The role involves conducting individual and group sessions, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required with further behavioral health education/experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable (total 4 years).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage a caseload in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct individual sessions and facilitate group counseling.
• Complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with other providers and document appropriately.
• Engage families and natural supports as needed.
