Job summary

Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor in Minnesota to assist patients recovering from opioid and substance use disorders. You will conduct individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and support patients on their recovery journey in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Education/licensure combinations required: assoc+ADC‑T, bach+LADC, or master+LPC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage a caseload in compliance with regulatory standards and ratios.
• Conduct individual sessions, facilitate group counseling and didactic educational presentations.
• Complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and individualized treatment plans.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify service plans as needed.
• Coordinate care with other recovery and community‑based providers and maintain chart compliance.
• Include family and natural supports per client preference.
• Maintain knowledge of new developments in the field of substance use for licensure.
• Maintain professional relationships with other substance use professionals and associations.

Education
